We work best when our professional development is applicable and personalized. Being innovative in teaching takes work and a commitment to lifelong learning.  Meeting the emerging needs of our students requires us to reevaluate our practices and at times grow and evolve as educators.  Learning together is what our PLC process was built upon and has been the reason we have moved the needle in engaging students in meaningful ways and in creating environments where they are critically thinking and creatively solving problems.  Our Innovative Teacher Hub is a tool to encourage growth and development in our teachers and also is a way to highlight and share the amazing learning that takes place to benefit our students in the classroom and beyond.

Teachers have extraordinary leadership strengths which is often our most untapped resource.  Looking at meeting the future needs of our students involves at times taking calculated risks and accepting that our own education is a process. Innovative Teaching is at the core of the growth of our students and the core of us all growing as educators.

Micro-credentials or badges provide competency-based recognition for the skills we learn further enhancing our teaching.  Even better, when we learn from each other in pursuit of the same goals, ongoing professional growth is made easier in a meaningful way. 

Reflection is a part of dynamic learning cycle. Trying new strategies and approaches or taking part in professional growth activities allows us the opportunity to learn from our experiences  This learning, if shared can not only help the individual teacher but also those around us who may be needing our insight. Our Reflection & Learning Portfolio is a source of learning within our building and beyond!
